The data we receive from our partners is already stripped of personnel identifiers such as MAIDs before it is shared with us Placer.ai preserves individual privacy and displays graphs, heat maps, numbers, and statistical data about locations while preserving its actionable characteristics. Placer.ai does not provide personal data. Additionally, Placer.ai does not surface data for locations with fewer than 50 unique devices, including segments of visitor journeys to POIs. Overview

The Watchtower Public API allows you to programmatically access your incident data. This REST API provides secure access to submission and dispatch information with flexible filtering and pagination options.

The legacy endpoint remains unchanged for existing integrations. It continues to return the historical timestamp representation and lowercase modifieddatetime field used by ISO responses. New integrations should use v2.

Authentication

The API uses client credentials authentication. You'll need to generate API credentials from your Watchtower account.

Click Generate New API Credentials
Provide a descriptive name (e.g., "Mobile App Integration")
Important: Copy and save the Client Secret immediately - it won't be shown again!

Pulse is Watchtower's real-time status management system for personnel, resources, locations, and assets. It provides an at-a-glance operational dashboard while preserving a history of every status change.

Supervisors and Admins use Pulse to configure and maintain statuses. Other team members can update statuses through connected Forms and can view Pulse reports that have been pinned to HomeBase.

Metrics

Metrics provide key insights about a property or traffic pin based on the panel used to estimate performance during the report's selected date range.

The following metrics are provided:

Visits: The extrapolated number of visits at the property.
Visits / sq ft: The number of visits at the property by its size (square footage).
Size / sq ft: The property's square footage is based on the polygon's size when individual properties are analyzed, and Gross Leasable Areas (GLA) when shopping centers are examined.
Audience: The extrapolated number of individual visitors, or people in your selected audience group, who visited the property. Click here to learn more about Audience Types.
Visit Frequency: The average number of visits per person in the selected audience group in the selected date range. This helps you understand how often people are returning to a location.
Avg. Dwell Time: The average amount of time spent by people in your selected audience group at the property during a visit.

User Roles

Currently we provide 5 distinct user roles. You can use these roles to control your user's access to the system.

Admin - This role has access to all features of the system. This role is intended for the system administrator.
User - This role has access to Submit, Dispatch (limited access), Communications (limited access), Operations (limited access), and Home.
Dispatcher - This role mirrors the user role but has full Dispatch capabilities and full access to Activity Log.
Supervisor - This role mirrors the user role but has full access to Activity Log, Reporting, Pulse, and Communications.
Read Only - This role allows read only access to the Activity Log, Reporting, Communications, and Operations.
